    Chi Sao

By the little dojo | May 23, 2010

Chi Sao (Sticky Hands or Energy Hands) is a method of practice made famous by Bruce Lee in the United States. Chi Sao exercises the muscles and builds ones ability to sense direction and pressure.  We use Chi Sao or “Sticking in Non Classical Gung Fu to train our Nervous System to respond in correct ways to attacks and counters to our moves.  The hand is faster than the eye so you are better off training your body to respond to pressures rather or at least in addition to visual cues.

Here is a good article on Chi Sao Progression.
