You will be able to order his two videos Boxing for Street Self Defense and Gung Fu to Grappling. Jesse Glover Bruce Lee’s First Student and Assistant Instructor said that Ed was as good at Street Fighting as Bruce Lee was at Gung Fu. Ed was victorious in over 500 “street” encounters and never lost. His boxing is excellent and with his experience there is much to be learned from this video. Gung Fu to Grappling has been used by many in Law Enforcement and by Bouncers and Security Men to good effect. This would not be considered a MMA type tape but rather for encounters on the street or for those in the Security Business.

Master Frank Magnaghi is offering classes at the Walla Walla Academy of Martial Arts. Frank Magnaghi has over 30 years experience in Martial Arts. 13 years Self-defense instructor Whitman College, 16 years teaching self defense at Walla Walla University, 3 years at Walla Walla Community College. Master Magnaghi teaches from Kempo Karate, Jeet Kune Do / Kali, and Fook Yueng Chuan. Classes are available Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30.

There is a new and updated web page for Sonny Umpad’s Visayan Eskrima. This site is filled with excellent information on Visayan Eskrima, Sonny’s History, the Style, there are excellent Videos and Pictures on the site as well as information on training in this most excellent system. Many of the things that we practice at The Little Dojo have been very influenced by this method of Eskrima and Renato Alfonso continues to act as an adviser to us.
