Spring Mountain Retreat Announced for Fook Yueng Chuan / Infinity Concepts Group, June 6th Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

My name is Paul Bax and I am a Jeet Kune Do practitioner/historian in Missouri who also hosts one of the most popular and controversial website/forums on the internet (www.thejkdbrotherhood.com). My organization, The JKD Brotherhood, is hosting Bruce Lee’s two top students for a once in a life time event on August 2nd and 3rd, 2008. This two-day seminar will begin at 11:00am and end at 5:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Each day will consist of training from both instructors. The first day will consist of Lee’s first student, Jesse Glover teaching what he was personally taught by Lee in private sessions and in Lee’s school. On the same day, Ted Wong will teach what was covered at the LA Chinatown school. Depending on how long each instructor wants to spend on the original material, Jesse Glover will then teach his own art, Non-Classical Gung Fu. Ted Wong will then teach the original art of Jeet Kune Do as Lee taught him in private, behind closed doors.
The seminar will be held at the Doubletree Inn, located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The hotel offers breakfast and dinner at an extra cost. There is no official banquet planned however we will either eat at the hotel diner or PF Chang’s which is only a few miles away.
Out of town visitors will be flying into Lambert Airport. The hotel offers a shuttle which will cost $25.00 each way (possibly cheaper in leu of our event). Participants are encouraged to arrive Friday evening for a “reception” at the hotel bar. The cost for this event is $200.00 for anyone planning to participate/work out at the event for both days. Anyone who would simply like to view the seminar may do so for $150.00. To reserve your spot please make a down payment of at least $100.00 (or $75.00 for non-participants). The full amount must be paid by 4/30/08 to hold your spot. If for any reason the event is cancelled, a full refund will be issued. If anyone signs up after the cut off date or shows up at the door without prior registration, the price will rise to $250.00 for those working out and $200.00 for those there to view. Signing up for this seminar is a commitment therefore no refunds will be given if you cannot attend the seminar. Plan accordingly. If participants would like to only attend one day, the may do so at the cost of $125.00 per day. Payments can me made over the internet via
www.paypal.com to my account: pauljbax@aol.com or by visiting my web page: www.thejkdbrotherhood.com.
Please plan on wearing proper work out attire and if possible please bring your own focus pads. No sparring of any kind will be allowed at the event. No filming will be allowed at the event including digital cameras that record video. Digital pictures are welcome and are preferably used during idle times or before and after the seminar. We hope to see you at this once in a life time event!

“Steve Smith is the most underrated martial artist that I know.” - Jesse R. Glover

    “I recomend Steve Smith’s Seminars” - Jesse R. Glover

“Steve Smith has studied with me and he does teache Non-Classical
Gung Fu but his primary teachers are Dave Harris and Fook Yeung.
Dave Harris is one of the greatest unknown martial artists in the
world. The things that he can do are fantastic and Steve from what I
have seen was his top student who is also capable of doing some
fantastic movements.and is also a first rate teacher. Of Dave’s art.
Of all of the people who I have seen during my many years in martial
arts Dave and Steve are at the top of the list in terms of what they
do. I don’t regard Steve as my student he is more like a friend and
fine martial artist who has strongly influenced my latest ideas
about the roll of circles in martial arts as I have influnced his
ideas about the roll of straight line movements in his martial arts.
If you are interested in a unique approach to escapes from grappling
holds/ takedowns/and counters to standing attacks please plan to
attend Steve Smith’s upcoming seminar in Switzerland. It will open
your eyes to a new approach to martial arts that will add to
whatever martial art you practice. A few years ago Steve and I did a
seminar in Geneva and people were blown away by what he did. Don’t
miss this opportunity to train with a unique martial teacher who can
open you up to a new way of applying martial arts skills.Steve has
also trained with Fook Yeung who I met through Bruce in 1959. I used
to see Fook several times a week in Seattle’s chinatown and
generally stopped and chat with him. When I first met Fook he was
teaching at the Chinese Youth club in Seattle where he showed me
some techniques from the Southerm Preying Mantis and some other
styles. He also taught Bruce some techniques from other styles. On
more than one occassion I saw him teach things to Bruce. Fook wasn’t
Bruce’s primary teacher but he did show Bruce some things that he
didn’t know.In addition to training with Dave Harris for several
years Steve trained for several years with Fook Yeung.I interviewed
Fook Yeung a few years ago after he closed his hands and I asked him
if he left his system to Steve and he told me that he had.” Jesse
