Walk A Mile In Their Shoes
This event is happening THIS Sunday and the group’s crossing guards backed out at the last minute. I know about child abuse and care very much about supporting the cause and so, this morning, while in the PBL executive meeting, I volunteered The Beginner’s Mind Dojo’s assistance by providing crossing guards for this event.
I would like to offer to all of the IFYCA schools and students in the Walla Walla Valley to get an opportunity to volunteer for the community by being a part of this event. THIS IS STRICTLY VOLUNTEER and you should in NO WAY feel obligated. If you would like to help out (and have the time), please contact me so I can get some stuff gathered up.
Also, if you are interested, post your answer on this thread, please.
THE INFO:
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes, walk against child abuse.
Sunday, April 26th, 1-4 pm.
Meeting at the courthouse.
The walk itself begins at 1:10 and will cover a single mile (in a circular route, beginning and ending at the courthouse).
Walk A Mile In Their Shoes
VOLUNTEERING:
Meet at 12:45 pm near front steps of the courthouse for coordination.
As crossing guards, your time required at the event will only be as long as people are walking. I plan on staying afterward in order to enjoy the day and perhaps help with cleanup.
This is an announcement from The Beginners Mind Dojo Mr. Joshua Conley.
