Good Bye to Gerry Harris
By the little dojo | November 13, 2009
Gerry Harris, Sensei David Harris’s Wife has passed to her rest. Gerry was a devoted wife, extremely organized and made the North Seattle School of Karate a possibility for all who trained there. She video taped lessons and seminars and took tuition and generally ran things.
The last years of her life were hard as she suffered from Alzheimer’s.
She will be Missed. Gerry thanks for everything, you were as a second mother to me.

I’ll always remember Gerry at Phinney Ridge. Her spirit beamed out from her joyous smile, and lit up the room whenever she entered.
Gerry’s love of animals and nature, gave me a shortcut to get to know her quickly, as she asked me a barrage of questions about dogs, and often shared pictures of her and Dave’s safaris, although her obsession with photography sometimes got us thrashed more than usual when she didn’t quite get the shot she wanted.
“I missed it!” I can still hear her shout. “Throw him like that again.”
Blessings on your journey, Mrs. Harris. We all love you,
